Sports Day is over! but it was fun while it lasted and tiring. Sadly we didnt win the 12X100 sad but on the bright side, we werent last and we made it that far to the finals. Next year we shall all train hard for this event and aim to break the record timing! As for tommorrow, its a holiday! But don't slack so much got homework arh. Econs essay on Macro 1&2. Sians.
Hey people this coming wednesday, we are having our sports day! Its a day worth looking forward to, cause can see girls run, i mean we are running! Yes we are! Our boys have qualified for the 12 X 100 relay. So remember to bring your shoes or whatever you need. Give your best no matter what the odds are! Attitude is more important than winning!
RASIKIN, WEI HONG and HUITING! Remember ar this tuesday we are staying back (as if we got a choice) to do our gp project! and hopefully some of our pw project. ya
People this just in! Econs essay is due this tuesday by 7pm! Yes yes its Econs essay and must be 4 sides long. The questions we must do is 2a) and b). incase you do not know what i'm talking about, here's the question:
2. (a) Explain the factors affecting the level of investment in your country [12m] (b) Explain the effects of a fall in the level of investment in your country. [13m]
Note that any failure to hand in this piece of assignment, would result in disciplinary action. which i guess must be terrible. so do your essay!
& so, it was discovered that in order to use the widgets provided by blogger, we need a xml skin of sorts.
So we shall hereby survive on dull skins for a while :D

MI maths textbook questions
Hints for question 4! The proving part which looks pretty complex is actually rather easy. What you have to do is to is to sub your values in carefully. If you need to, use brackets! when you really get into the proving Pk+1 value, expand the top and leave the denominator at it is. Once you expand everything, you would see that most of the things cancel each other out. After that its smooth sailing all the way so yupp.
For part b. look at these two equations see anything similar?
yuppp let X= k where k is a constant. Secondly find what is diffent between the two. If you can find these two information, you would be able to do part b.
Physics test was pretty easy, no? I thought it was.
Reminder that you have to finish Exercise 2.3, question 3, 4, 6 and 8 of the textbook for Maths by tomorrow. For questions, do not hestitate to tag, so that we can discuss together :D Just to prevent 'copycat rise and shine' for chemistry tomorrow, remember to do a few qns on atomic structure too!
Miss Devi reminded all of us not to be late for school (ie, must be there by flag-raising) because 3 times and you'll find yourself suspended. So here are some solutions Wake up earlier, go to school earlier... Yeah, thats right, wake up earlier and go to school earlier, best by the recommended 7.20am. But if you're already late... if you're already late, and there isn't any important exams or tests that day, one of the ways to escape the 'late' record is to head down to the polyclinic to get a MC for stomachache. and then you can come to school at 10am. MCs are only less than 10 bucks, BUT this is not recommended of course, I WAS JUST KIDDING:P SO, JUST WAKE UP AND GO SCHOOL EARLIER. DON'T BE LATE!
And, recently, there has been lots of cases of misplaced items, including shoe bags, GCs, etc. It is extremely important to keep valuables with you at all times! However, during times like PE, when you can't keep valuables with you, put it in your bag, and hand it to Rasikin! lol. Example of valuables: Handphones, Wallets, MP3 players, GCs.
And a reminder, Chemistry and GP Tests are on next TUESDAY. Mid-year exams are around the corner as well. For non-PAE students, you'll have to catch up on Thermal for physics, and PF (partial fractions) & BT (binomial theorem) for maths on your own! Lecture notes for PF and BT can be obtained on asknlearn, while here are the lecture notes for Thermal 1 and 2:
Probably these are important stuffs to learn... -Physical Quantities, SI Units and Prefixes -Systematic vs Random Error -Accuracy vs Precision -Uncertainty -Displacement vs Distance, Velocity vs Speed, Acceleration -s-t graph, v-t graph and a-t graph -the equations of motion
Remember to do these homework... Maths - MI Assignment (Due this week - don't know if it's tmr) GP - Last week's Reading Log (Due tmr) Maths - MI Txbk Qns (Due friday - refer to John's post) Chemistry - Atomic Structure (Better do by friday)
Upcoming tests... Physics - This Thursday 5.10pm @ Audi Measurement, Kinematics excluding Proj Motion
Chemistry - Next Tuesday During Lecture Redox
Maths - Tentatively on 8 May Venue TBA PF, BT, SnS, APGP, MI, GT, Diff (up to first tutorial)

Blackout
Last friday in a particular classroom in a particular jc, not where 08S27 was during that day, a blackout occured. Strangely only in that particular class.
The particular class was having a presentation and as a group was in the middle of their presentation, the lights went off. The projector turned off and the whole room turned dark.
Strangely only one class (to my knowledge) was affected. So strange yah?
information was given through the word of mouth so it might be alittle exaggerated?
Got Maths Mathematical Induction Assignment 5 and the maths ex 2.3 to do! For ex 2.3 the questions are 3,4,6 and 8. This is due friday and the Assignment 5 sometime this week?
Economics Test Date: Tues (22/4) Time: 5:05 pm to 5:50 pm Venue: Audi Format: 3 short response questions. Topic tested: AD-AS, EG, Inflation, Unemployment.
Physics Test Date: Thurs (24/4) Time: 5:10pm to 6:10pm Venue: Audi Topic tested: Measurement, Kinematics (Not including projectile motion)
